These photos are from a child’s nursery in Worcestershire which had been damaged by other older children. The shed and other items were unsalvageable due to this.
The local YJS Victim Officer was able to acquire a bird feeder and bird boxes from the YJS Telford workshop and obtain a shed kindly donated from Forest Garden.
The nursery staff and children were delighted in the service that has been received from the YJS with the bird feeders and boxes being made by the children who are being supported by the Youth Justice Service.
The nursery are now using the shed as an area for the children to write and draw in while watching birds on the feeders and boxes.

Child C completed these hours at Wallace House during which time she developed a really positive relationship with both the placement and her restorative justice worker. In the end of order questionnaire Child C completed we asked “tell us one thing that was good about doing your reparation?” Child C replied “feeling proud about myself”. The feedback we received from Wallace House was also something for celebration, they wrote “Child c was really helpful, she did everything she was asked to do….a real pleasure to work with and a really helpful and kind person”.
